Grigor-Industrial

2024

Positioned in Moffat Beach on the Sunshine Coast, the Grigor Industrial Sheds respond to a coastal context through a refined, contemporary industrial design. The project explores how simple shed forms can be elevated through proportion, materiality and passive design strategies, with deep cantilevered roofs providing shelter, shade and weather protection. Translucent roof sheeting and large glazed openings introduce natural light and ventilation into the internal spaces, while upper-level balconies and landscaping soften the built form and enhance amenity. A restrained material palette of timber, concrete and cladding reinforces a modern, functional aesthetic. The result is a considered industrial development that balances practicality with a strong architectural identity.
