Quanda 02 - Industrial

Designed as a purpose-built boat building facility, this project responds to the scale and operational demands of large 100ft catamarans while maximising the building footprint and allowing for efficient manoeuvring and workflow. The architectural expression balances durability with warmth, combining raw concrete, expansive glazing and weatherboard cladding with timber feature columns that reference a subtle maritime character. Skylights introduce consistent natural light deep into the workspace, while large roller doors enable cross ventilation and improve internal comfort. Clean lines and a considered material palette give the building a strong yet refined street presence, demonstrating how functional industrial design can be elevated through thoughtful planning and architectural clarity.
